Williams Gets New Shoes September 27, 2005 - Early in the month of September Williams announced that they will be getting tyres from Bridgestone for the 2006 season. Previous to this Williams used Michelin tyres and in past seasons (1999 to 2000) Williams used Bridgestone tyres. Hiroshi Yasukawa the Director of Bridgestone Motor sport commented by saying, “Bridgestone Motor sport has supplied the winning Constructors’ and Drivers’ Champions for no fewer than seven times and we now look forward to working closely with the Williams F1 Team to help them achieve their goals in the future.”
